How gratified I am to see that the British media takes the time and trouble to ensure that all viewpoints are represented!
After weeks of toadying, fawning and general arse-licking, it seems we are to be visited by a veritable deluge of deification this weekend.
Let us celebrate another sixty years of highly paid jobs that no-one can apply for. Shall we bask in the glory of knowing our hard-earned wages keep a family of freaks and their sycophants in the lap of luxury?
God save the parasites! (and God help the rest of us)
I think it’s kinda cool in a historic, traditional way…being from the colonies and all
Hi Diana,
OK but I wonder if you’d still think it cool if you were
1. paying for it and
2. bombarded with it 24/7?
thanks for your feedback
Rob.
Canada does pay probably not as much as you, but we do. And we have a governor general that represents the queen. but I hear you
Oh, OK, I didn’t realise that, sorry.
no need for sorry
yeah they kinda suck lol
couldn’t have said it better!
Thanks.
Are you speaking of the papacy or the crown? I guess it could go either way…
Hi Marc,
I was refering to the crown but the same applies to others, I know.
Rob.
I like when you give your opinion. I rarely read the paper since it upsets me so. Every time I do I regret it like that little boy who’s killer they allegedly found. Wept all day.
Hi Susannah,
Maeve is just the same: far too much empathy. I still find her crying about our neighbour who died. She doesn’t deal with tragedy well. She lost her most beloved companion, Molly the collie, back in 2003 and is still in mourning. I wish I could help her and you, but there’s nothing I can say or do for either of you that will make the pain go away. I guess that’s a typical male response: we like to fix things.
Rob.
As long as you throw in the occasional appliance I feel fixing is a great male trait.
I cry at least once a day. I could use windshield wipers.
Susannah,
You shouldn’t tell me that. Now I feel helpless all over again. I just can’t cope with even the thought of women weeping.
nice to hear an honest view
it was on TV here too.
All over the world, I’m guessing, but perhaps not with the persistency we’ve had to suffer.
thanks for your response.
Like, like and like again.
I’m so sick of it. This whole year looks to be one long steam of irritations, though the jubilee crap is the worst.
Glad its done now so I can focus on avoiding the bloody olympic flame. -_-
You’ve got weeks of Olympics to come. No respite for some time yet.
I know, makes me want to go hide in a hole somewhere. -_-
It’s in Lincoln today and tomorrow. Travel is just a joke! The number of roads that are closed in rush-hour is beyond belief: total grid-lock. How could an ambulance get through that lot?
It will be here on Monday coming up. I dread think what it will be like for anyone trying to get anywhere. Lord help anybody with a house fire or a heart attack. @_@
Ain’t no emergency services getting anywhere!
