I am attracted to beautiful women. No surprise there: beautiful and attractive are the same word, as near as makes no difference. It’s a sexual attraction. Again, no great surprise: the urge to procreate is written into (nearly) every cell in my body. Never content to accept such things at face value, I feel the need to analyse. At some sub-conscious level, does “attractive” equate to “suitable to bear my offspring”? It seems a tad clinical and hugely presumptuous, but I accept very little responsibility for my sub-conscious: genes will be genes.
Consider the subject of allure or sexiness. I find it very difficult to separate the conscious from the sub-conscious here. The questions of desirability versus availability, blatant versus subtle, and expectation versus imagination are complex. Does a naked woman seem more available for sex than a clothed one? The knee-jerk answer is “yes” but does that make her more desirable? What if she’s unwilling, incapable, desperate, unhinged or unclean? This question drags us into others about visual versus non-visual clues and prior knowledge.
A medical textbook and a “gentleman’s” magazine might publish photos of the same, beautiful, naked woman but the pictures would be very different, because of their differing motivations. Nudity is such a strange subject! Even if the book is the more revealing, the mag will have the allure, which says it’s the pose, the setting, the “come to bed” look and not the nudity that matters.

Second picture: she has removed her bikini. All else being equal, which of these two is more alluring? I say the first, though this seems wrong whilst feeling right. Which leads me to conclude that my imagination is the most potent aphrodisiac I have.
Sexy = keep your clothes on, but look like you might be willing to take them off!
